Laboratory of Microbes and Biochemistry
at Brandeis University

Welcome to the lab of Microbes and Biochemistry at Brandeis University. Our lab studies mechanisms of pathogen sensing and evasion across all forms of life, with a particular focus on pore-forming proteins and programmed cell death. Our lab is located within Biochemistry Department and is associated with the graduate programs in Biochemistry and Biophysics and Molecular and Cell Biology.

To explore these research areas, we employ a diverse techniques of biochemistry, microbiology, and structural biology. We are excited to make use of the excellent resources for cryogenic electron microscopy (cryo-EM) at the Louise Mashal Gabbay Cellular Visualization and Electron Microscopy Center.
